Start with the business identity
Keep promoter KYC, business constitution papers, registrations and current address details consistent. Depending on the entity, lenders may request partnership deeds, incorporation records, GST registration, Udyam details or other business proofs.
Financial records should tell one story
Recent financial statements, income-tax returns, GST returns where relevant and business bank statements should broadly reconcile. Material differences, unexplained cash movements or incomplete liabilities often create extra lender queries.
Banking and existing obligations
Prepare statements for key operating accounts and a clear list of current loans, limits, EMIs, collateral and guarantees. Working-capital cases may also require stock, debtor and creditor information.
Purpose and amount matter
A lender-ready file explains how much funding is required and why. Expansion, working capital, machinery, property-backed borrowing and project finance can require different supporting documents.
Before you submit
Check names, addresses, PAN/GST details, financial periods, signatures, statement completeness and legibility. A clean document pack cannot guarantee approval, but it can reduce avoidable processing friction.
